ive never downloaded from itch.io before and im having a hard time figuring it out. is there something im missing?

Seems promising, but I have a problem: I have an ultrawide screen and some of the UI on the top left is off-screen. :']

This is great! I love city builders and colony sims as idle games, I run them while I do my homework. This is one of my favorites, good job!

This.

This is what a true idle city builder should be.

Besides from a few minor things, like the AI of the in-game cars being a bit janky (sometimes they like to fly to their destination), being able to click at an inhuman rate (i.e. auto clicker), and it being very short, it is, in my opinion the perfect idle city builder. Period.

With a few tweaks to the car's AI, and a bit more content than about an hour, it would be my favorite idle game, ever, of all time!

That's very flattering of you to say!

The game was built in a week and therefore there isn't much content built into the game, unfortunately, I've tried to make the most out of the available resources to extend the gameplay time without making it a boring experience.

I was looking into making it a standalone windows game and adding much more content like adding more cities featuring actual real-world capitals of the world and more content like actual citizens minding their own routines.

I'm excited to find out you like it! If somehow the game makes it into a Steam release, I'll make sure to let you know as it's very inspiring to see people liking something I've built.

Thank you for feedback!

You're welcome!

No pressure for a Steam release from my side, just figured I'd support "indie" games a little more. :D

I've never been part of a game jam, but I can understand the desire to cut a few corners, if you've only got a limited time to plan, design, and program a whole game. I've seen a few games originally made for game jams, which are just kind of... bland.

Most of the time they are short (Because of the strict time limits of game jams), but they're good enough to make me want to keep playing till the end, and this game did that perfectly!
